As a guy who's new on the whole Prop/Replica making scene, what materials should i use to make this sort of stuff? Im fine with how to make them and how to get the graphic effects on them, just unsure on the materials?

Everyone uses different stuff. I personally use MDF and styrene for everything I built, as well as the occasional pvc/abs piping.
Other popular materials are PVC sheet, (sintra) epoxy sculpt, and wonderflex. my index page at www.zprops.net will link you to all of the builds. Happy building!
